Celebrating new beginnings: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of New Era SHS’ Canteen in partnership with PCUD
As the university continuously makes an effort to extend its hand in helping nearby schools in the community of City of Dasmariñas, the New Era SHS, Dasmariñas, in partnership with Philippine Christian University, Dasmariñas, has come together to build a new school canteen for the students of NESHS. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the turn over of the project was followed by the Memorandum of Agreement between PCUD and NESHS.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on May 9, 2024, in the presence of NESHS School Head, Mr. Vicente D. Revota, faculty, staff, and students, Brgy. Captain Sampaloc II, Hon. Virginia S. Campano, SDO Dasma Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Galileo L. Go, Graduate School Director Mr. Roland I. Bayalan, PCUD GSO Director Mrs. Karissa Aviso-Castillo, PCU Staff, and other community members of Brgy. New Era.
Prior to the construction of the school canteen, New Era SHS faced challenges in providing adequate dining facilities for its students. The project was made possible with the combined initiative of ASP Coordinator, Mr. Glenn Vincent Rodil and L&D Coordinator Ms. Sheela Anne Maraan. Aside from the establishment of the new canteen, PCUD also donated sound system equipment for NESHS that will be utilized in the Flag Raising Ceremony and their school’s upcoming events. The collaboration of PCUD and NESHS exemplifies the power of partnerships in driving positive change within the community.
The significance of a well-equipped school canteen cannot be overstated. It serves not just as a place to grab a quick bite but also as a hub of social interaction and a platform for cultivating healthy eating habits.
As Senior High School students of New Era SHS step into the bright and inviting space of their new canteen, they are reminded that acts of kindness and generosity have the power to shape a brighter future for generations to come.
