The CHED Region IV-A Director, Dr. Virginia D. Akiate, CESO III along with other CHED officials, conducted a university visitation at the Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas Campus yesterday, January 24, 2023. 

The said event was attended by department deans, principals, directors, vice presidents, and our university president, Dr. Junifen Gauuan, with a special appearance by our former university president, Dr. Carlito S. Puno.

The visitation officially started with an opening prayer led by Rev. Dr. Noel P. Adriano, followed by the introduction of PCU and CHED officials by Dr. Nora Puenteblanca. A video presentation in sequence of the university’s activities this academic year was prepared and presented by Ms. Dr. Junifen F. Gauuan. After that, the ceremony was preceded by a campus development plan presented by Dr. Junifen Gauuan.

Dr. Virginia gave a speech about her journey as an educator herself, highlighting their task in monitoring HEIs in the region to make sure that they give high-quality education and recognizing the university’s hard work, she also acknowledged the nature-friendly environment of the campus. It was followed by Dr. Puno’s spontaneous speech, in which he stated how the PCU had flourished into what it is today, is the result of hard work and perseverance of many people dedicated to serve the university.

The event was followed by CHED officials, including Dr. Akiate herself, inspecting the HEIs offices and laboratories.
