Even after the sun has set, Nanay Marie’s little food house is still busy selling for the hungry students of Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas, like the one here shown buying a bottle of mineral water.

Actually, Nanay Marie will serve several others before her day is done. Her humble store is one of PCU-D students’ “go-to” places for “meriendas” and home-cooked lunch treats. When asked about her dealings with students, she said: “Masaya dahil mababait sila,” she responded with a gentle smile on her face.
